Our spirit remains present; our presence earned. Our pavilion is special, as are our guests. There is a bit of Gullah in all of us.
The Gullah culture originated along the southeastern U.S. coast from the forced blending of diverse West and Central African traditions with colonial English. Geographic isolation allowed our community to preserve a unique Creole language, folklore, spirituality, and artistic practices.
The Gullah people are significant landowners and contributors to the economy of Hilton Head Island.

The Gullah Pavilion, with 5 full bedrooms and 2 half-bedrooms, 11 beds, 3 full and 5 half baths, hosts up to 18 guests and is perfect for family reunions, wedding gatherings, yoga and wellness groups, cultural and educational retreats, and milestone birthday celebrations.
